First edition of "The Duke and Duchess of Windsor" auction catalog Sotheby's. 1997 three softcovers in a slipcase. From the sale September 11-19, 1997, which was not held until February 1998 due to the death of Princess Diana. The first volume is an introduction to the sale and the Windsors. Contains multiple essays on the couple, their lineage, their life, photographs of them, and much more. Volume 2 contains lots 1-1789 and includes property from the public rooms of Windsor's former residence in Paris and historical material from the collection. Volume 3 contains lots 1790-3111 and includes property from their private rooms in Paris and other historical material. All three books are in fine condition and are in a clean, very near fine slipcase. The slip case has a couple of scratches on it, but nothing bad.
