This is one of the first scarfs produced by Vera Neumann as you can see it shows Patent Pending I am not an expert but I know a little bit about the history of these scarfs, it was American Artist and Entrepreneur Vera Neumann the first person who created the first signature scarfs & she started producing them after she acquired parachutes silk at a military surplus store. At the time materials were scarce yet her find along with vision and creativity embarked her into her biggest achievement in the fashion industry. This scarf is made from silk of that first purchase hence very rare and collectible! Marilyn Monroe & Grace Kelly were among her fans, her scarfs are her designs & her high position in the Fashion Industry remained strong till the 80s
