Original 1928 County Commissioners of Pennsylvania Convention medal with attached purple and gold ribbon, held in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

The medal features detailed embossing with a shield, eagle, laurel wreath, and a red heart at center. The ribbon reads:
“Convention County Commissioners of Pennsylvania – Allentown – 1928”.

Back of medal is maker-marked: Whitehead & Hoag Co., Newark, NJ, a famous American badge and medal manufacturer active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Fun Fact
The Whitehead & Hoag Company was one of the leading producers of political buttons, medals, and ribbons from 1892 through the 1950s. Their convention pieces are highly collectible, especially when tied to local Pennsylvania political history.
