Tom Laser, master wood turner, created this paperweight out of a maple burl. The burl is carved out and filled with lead, which is then capped with pewter. The burln is polished and appear to be marble at first glance. It's engraved and reads: Tom Laser 1988 big leaf maple burl. Signed and dated, unique.
