Authentic Hopi Kachina. Flat kachinas are also called cradle dolls because they are given to Hopi infants. Flat dolls are the oldest form of Katsinas dolls among the Hopi.
Kachina Dolls are gifts given in hope of future abundance and health, as well as tools for education.
In Hopi ceremony Kachinas come down from the sacred mountains to dance and bring life and renewal. When the Kachinas return to the spirit world, they return with prayers of the Hopi.
