Beautiful '50s CA ceramics & craftsmanship created by Muriel Joseph George with signature black eyes. This little lady, April, wears a rosy pink dress under a aqua/teal cloak & matching umbrella. Gold accents the umbrella shaft, ruffles & purple flowers on the cloak tie, edge of dress & umbrella edge. Usually associated w/the month for which she is named, she is also a reminder that no matter how cute, one can still get caught in the rain w/petticoats & pantaloons flapping in the wind! An excellent, collectable item for Josef & vintage enthusiasts or those with a love of cute. She does have uniform crazing, but so does everyone at 70 years of age.
