Vintage 1960s Rare Altec 689B Model Microphone
This is a somewhat rare 1960's era Altec 689B model dynamic cardioid microphone in it's classic two tone Altec black with hunter green scheme. The aggressive looking and beautiful mic comes with a vintage metal case in which to store, mic clip and takes a standard XLR cable in which to operate. There is some good bass in this mic and would be great for singing or broadcasting. It's uni-directional as well blocking out most background noise. This has not been tested.
This was Altec's top of the line stick mic and they had several to choose form during the 1960's If you like the sound and tone of the Shure SM-58 then you are really going to like this special 689B . Also Attached an old Altec data sheet I have found showing the mics basic specs. This 689B was well taken care of over the past 50 years and looks pretty darn good. This 689B model is built like a tank and it has a bit of weight to it. It's appx 8 inches long X 1 1/2 inches wide
