Up for sale is 1 vintage 2002 authentic extremely rare and highly collectible / limited 1st edition George Rodrigue Blue Dog Argus Mardi Gras Krewe doubloon coin token medal.
The famous Louisiana artist George Rodrigue’s signature is engraved in the doubloon. These doubloons were exclusively made for this parade and were very hard to obtain.
He is known worldwide for his “Blue Dog” series of paintings and was the grand Marshal of the Krewe of Argus parade. He rode on a specially built Blue Dog float and personally tossed these doubloons to parade attendees.
This doubloon is great for collectors and is often framed with his prints and artwork.
