Given to Miss Fairfield by Clark Gable when she was taking dance lessons by Fred Astaire teacher.
She was 16 years of age when living in and her parents sent her to sing and dance.
The Story goes that Clark Gable saw her outside waiting for her valet to bring her her “automobile “.
He asked ,”can I offer you a quarter for a cab”?...see knew who he was and knew of his reparation.
and said no sir,thank you I have my own Automobile.
This story and others were past down through the years.
Now we are parting with some of her items.
