Celestial Jewelry Chest Hand-Painted and Decoupaged Vintage Upcycle

This unique little jewelry chest was originally a plain, discarded wooden thrift store rescue, and is perfect for storing small items like jewelry, pins, and other keepsakes.

It was dated and in desperate need of repair, so after some TLC l decoupaged it with a celestial theme using prints of my own artwork. This process permanently adheres the prints to the wood, which won’t rub off or peel. All the hardware is new, and the insides are painted black with the floors newly lined in felt.

This functioning decor piece measures approx. 6" high, 9" wide,, and 4" deep. Since this is vintage and has been completely reworked by hand, there are minor irregularities that only add to its lovely, rustic charm.

I am passionate about upcycling abandoned wooden decor pieces and this is no exception; I also adore the nostalgic celestial imagery so popular from the 90s and felt it would suit this piece perfectly.
