Vintage 1960s Realist MCM Oil Painting of Pastoral Pond - Signed Original

When I saw first saw this Vintage Realist MCM Painting, I thought it was a photo because it is so spot on real looking. From the shimmer of the pond water, the reflection of the trees, the light in the background and dark shadows in the foreground, this painting screams “real”. This artist, M Klintworth, has truly mastered the use of color and light.

I like the simplicity of his scene. It reminds me of a pond on the hunting grounds that my father and I would hunt on. Perhaps, it reminds you of a pond you saw once. If not, it’s still an awesome realistic painting that has a bit of somber mood to it. Maybe the artist really enjoyed being away from it all. Maybe it’s their childhood fishing spot. I wonder… This painting measures 20 x 16 and the charming wood frame extends about 2 inches outward from the wall…almost giving this painting the look of a window to outside.
