You're bidding on a fanatstic piece of important Civil War history. This 13" x 17" roll muster 1862 assigning 7 new soldiers to support the Pennsylvania 5th Regiment. Each soldier was assigned to Colonel Joseph Washington Fisher who later became a General and fought in the most important battles of the Civil War. He was assigned to defend Big Round Top Hill at Gettysburg. This original document is a QM ration doc as the 5th camped 1863 prior to their march into significant battles. Colonel Joseph Washington Fisher (bottom row - center) brady photo Joseph Washington Fisher (October 16, 1814 – October 18, 1900) was an American lawyer, politician and judge from Pennsylvania who served as a Colonel in the Pennsylvania Reserves during some of the most important battles of the Army of the Potomac in the American Civil War. He served as a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1848 to 1849, the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 17th district from 1867 to 1868
