A stunning antique Japanese terracotta water pitcher featuring a high-relief dragon that wraps around three-quarters of the body set against a group of stippled clouds. Impressed filigree pattern around the top opening and a thick, arched dragon tail handle.
8" wide, 8 3/4" tall.
No chips, cracks or repairs. Investment-quality. There are a couple manufacturing imperfections: a piece of terracotta hard-fired to the bottom and a 1/4" press to the top lip above the very end of the dragon.
