Vintage French Corduroy Work Vest, 1930s-40s, Hand-Repaired

Vintage French work/hunting vest.

The front is made of rare wide-wale corduroy (velours côtelé), and the back is black cotton fabric. Features include 5 buttons, 2 waist pockets, 1 inner pocket on the right side, and metal buckle adjusters on both sides. Hand-stitched "tata-ki (reprisage)" repairs remain on the back of the collar, a testament to the craftsmanship rarely seen today.

Photos of the vest being worn are included (model is approximately 173cm tall). You can see the fit when paired with a shirt and slacks. The photos also show how tightening the back buckles (adjusters) cinches the waistline, creating a more streamlined look.
