This is a graded Pikachu/Raichu Prism from the 1998 Japanese Meiji Promotional collection. The card received a grade of MINT 9 by PSA and is 1 of only 16 in existence. Only 2 cards have received a higher grade from PSA.
The 1998 Japanese Meiji Promo Collection was the second set to be released by Meiji and Pokemon. All of the cards in this set were based off of the first Pokemon movie and its accompanying Pikachu short. All of the cards in this set feature the “spinning squares” holofoil pattern that was copied by TCG years later on some English holos.
