Brass encased Chinese cinnabar hand carved lacquer participation medal from the Chinese Olympic Committee. I have only found a few of these ever offered on the secondary market. There are matching all metal versions but not many of the hand carved cinnabar lacquer versions. The detail and rarity of the piece make this a must have for any collection!
